Plan tasks
Trap Building
Fill the Trap Factory with the wall traps you choose.
- What it does
- Walks to the Trap Factory and builds the wall traps you queue, any kind and tier, one batch at a time. Each batch is finished with a speedup so the next can start.
- Where
- Plan task: Duties ▸ Tasks ▸ Add to plan ▸ Trap Building, with its settings on Task setup ▸ Trap Building. Daily activity: Duties ▸ Daily activities ▸ Trap building. The two keep separate settings.
- You need
- Your city map with the Trap Factory mapped (City Mapper). Tiers in Traps. Resources, a speedup and free trap capacity on your Wall.
- When it runs
- Plan task: once each time you press Start. Daily activity: once a game day. They do not know about each other, so use one of them.
Trap Building keeps your Wall stocked without you opening the factory. You list the trap kinds and tiers you want, and how many of each. Evonex builds them in the order you set.
Set it up
- Map the Trap Factory in City Mapper.
- Check that Resources ▸ Traps lists the tiers you want. The tier buttons and the costs come from there. See Traps.
- Open your instance, go to Task setup and click the Trap Building card.
- Click a trap kind, then click a tier. Each click adds a batch. The kinds are Trap, Rock, Abatis and Fire Arrow.
- Click a batch's number and type how many traps it builds. Drag the batches into the order you want. The factory has one queue, so the top batch builds first.
- Decide about Track progress across runs (see Settings below). Click Save changes.
- Go to Duties ▸ Tasks and click Trap Building under Add to plan.
- Press Start if the instance is not running yet. Nothing runs until it is.
- 1Track progress across runs Remembers how many traps of each batch are built, so the next run carries on.
- 2Trap kind Picks the kind whose tiers you add: Trap, Rock, Abatis or Fire Arrow.
- 3Tiers Adds a batch of that tier. Click a lit tier again to remove its batch.
- 4Batch size Sets how many traps this batch builds. Click the number to type it.
- 5Drag handle Moves the batch up or down. The top batch builds first.
- 6Remove this batch Deletes the batch from the plan.
- 7Plan cost Shows what the whole plan costs, resource by resource, and how many traps are queued.
- 8Map reminder Reminds you to map the Trap Factory. Tiers it has not unlocked are skipped.
To use the daily activity instead, switch Trap building on under Duties ▸ Daily activities and click its name. Its Task setup tab holds the same form, with its own batches.
- 1This duty's own copy Says these settings belong to the daily activity only. The plan task keeps its own.
- 2The shipped batch Starts as one batch of 150 Trap T1. Change it to your own plan.
- 3Reset task settings Puts this window's trap plan back to the shipped batch. The Schedule tab is not touched.
- 4Reset records Forgets what the activity recorded about its turns, so it can run again.
- 5Done Saves both tabs and closes the window.
Settings
Track progress across runs
A tick box at the top right. Off: every run builds the full counts. On: Evonex remembers how many traps of each batch it built and keeps going until every target is met. A finished plan does not visit the factory at all. Default: Off.
Trap · Rock · Abatis · Fire Arrow
Four buttons. Click one to choose the trap kind whose tiers you add. Every kind you add lands in the same plan. They are all built at the Trap Factory.
T10 … T1
The tier buttons for the chosen kind, highest first. The tiers come from Resources ▸ Traps. Click one to add a batch. Click a lit tier again to remove its batch. Hover a tier to see what one trap costs.
Batch size
The number in each batch row, with − and +. How many traps this batch builds in total. Click the number to type it, or drag it sideways. The range is 1 to 99,999,999. A new batch starts at 1.
Built so far
With tracking on, each row also shows how many traps are built, such as 40 / 150 built.
Drag handle
Drag a batch to change the order. The factory has one queue, so the list is the build order, top first.
Remove this batch
The ✕ at the end of the row. Deletes the batch.
PLAN COST
A bar and amounts for what the whole plan costs, resource by resource, with the number of traps queued.
Reset progress
Shown while tracking is on and a batch has progress. Sets the built-so-far counts back to zero. Click Save changes to keep that.
Save changes
Appears as soon as you change something. Click it to keep your changes.
All tasks
Goes back to the cards on Task setup.
Timing and the daily activity's window
Days · When it may run · Daily limit
Click the plan task's name on Duties ▸ Tasks. The timing window is the same as on Tavern Recruit. How often is fixed: once each time you press Start. Defaults: every day, any time, no limit.
Reset task settings
In the daily activity's window. Puts its plan back to one batch of 150 Trap T1, with tracking off. You confirm first, and the window closes. The Schedule tab is not affected.
Schedule tab
In the daily activity's window. The tab has How often, Run before plan tasks, Come back every, Run cap, Retry when it fails and Reset schedule. They work the same on every daily activity. By default it runs Once a day, not before plan tasks, with 3 tries a day. See Daily activities.
Reset records
Forgets what this duty remembers about its own turns: whether it ran today, what it spent and any wait after a failure. It can then take another turn. Nothing in the game changes and your settings stay. The line beside the button says what is recorded, such as Had its turn today.
Done
Saves both tabs and closes the window. The ✕ in the corner, or Esc, closes it without saving.
How it runs
- With tracking on and every batch done, Evonex finishes without walking anywhere and says Trap plan already complete.
- Otherwise it walks to the Trap Factory on your city map and opens the Build window. If the factory is already building, it leaves it alone and tries again on the next turn. If your trap capacity is full, it says so.
- It works through the rows in list order. For each row it finds the trap on the build carousel and checks that it landed on the right one. It never builds on a trap it could not confirm.
- It types the smaller of what the factory will take, what is still needed and the capacity left. Then it taps Train, never the gem Instant Train. It checks that the batch started and finishes it with a training speedup, so the next batch can start.
- Big rows build to their full count. A tier your Trap Factory has not unlocked is skipped, and the rest of the list still runs.
- If you run out of speedups, the batch builds on the game's own clock and the run stops.
- The run ends with Built 150 traps or No traps built on Overview.
Use the plan task or the daily activity, not both. They do not hold each other off. If one finds the factory busy, it leaves it and tries on its next turn.
Building traps spends resources, plus one speedup for every batch. With Track progress across runs off, the same spend repeats on every run.
Problems?
The run says Trap Factory not reachable.
Map and calibrate the Trap Factory in City Mapper. The instance also needs its city map.
The run says Traps are already being built at the Trap Factory.
The factory has one queue and it is busy. Evonex leaves it and tries again on the next turn.
The run says The Trap Factory is full.
Your trap capacity is used up. Upgrade your Wall, or wait until you lose traps.
A row says isn't unlocked yet.
Your Trap Factory needs an upgrade for that tier. The rest of the list still runs.
The run says Couldn't settle on … in the build list.
Evonex could not confirm it reached that trap, and builds nothing on a guess. Something may have covered the window. The next run tries again.
Overview ▸ Needs setup says “Trap Building” needs “trap plan” set before it can run.
The plan has no batches yet. Open Task setup ▸ Trap Building, add a batch and click Save changes. Until then, Evonex skips the task.
