Create your first instance

The New Instance dialog, and how to read a card's connection.

An instance is one game account on one emulator. You create it once, then open its workspace to run it. On the Instances page, click New Instance (or the New Instance card, labelled Connect a new emulator) to open the dialog.

  1. Name — label this account
  2. Account type — main or farm
  3. Emulator (ADB) — pick or type the address
  4. Refresh — re-scan for emulators
The New Instance dialog.
Name
A label for this account so you can tell it apart on the grid — for example Main — Castle One.
Account type
main or farm — shown as a badge on the card to help you organise your accounts. It only labels and groups them; it doesn't change how the account is automated.
Emulator (ADB)
The emulator to drive. Pick a detected emulator from the dropdown, or type its ADB address by hand (e.g. 127.0.0.1:5555). Use the refresh button beside it to re-scan for an emulator you opened after this dialog — ADB only learns of a device once it registers, so the first list can be stale.

Click Create and the instance appears on the grid. Open its card to enter the workspace, where you assign tasks and press Start.

Reading a card's connection

Once created, a card shows two things at a glance: what the bot is doing, and whether its emulator is reachable. When the instance is stopped, the connection is the headline:

The colours behind these words — blue for Ready, grey for Offline / No emulator, orange for In use — are the same across every screen. See Reading the interface for the full status vocabulary.
