Add your first instance

Create an instance for your game account and link it to its emulator.

Where

Instances ▸ Add instances (or Ctrl+N on the Instances page).

You need

The emulator for this account installed — open or closed — and this PC online.

Takes

A minute.

An instance is one game account in one emulator window. You create it once; from then on it keeps its own duties, plan, settings and history. Nothing starts until you press Start.

Create it

1. Open Instances and press Add instances.
2. Leave How many at 1.
3. Leave the box beside Name on Emulator’s name to name the instance after its emulator. For a name of your own, type one, such as Northwatch, and set the box to None.
4. Under Emulators, keep Detected and tick your emulator. A closed emulator is listed under Stopped — Evonex opens it when you press Start.
5. Check the Preview on the right: one row, your name, your emulator.
6. Press Create 1 instance.

1. 1How many How many instances to create at once — up to 200.
2. 2Name The instance’s name. The box beside it starts on Emulator’s name; None uses the name as typed, and 01, 02… numbers several instances.
3. 3Detected Emulators Evonex found on this PC that no instance uses yet.
4. 4Your emulator Tick the emulator this account plays in. Its address fills itself in.
5. 5By port Type an address yourself, for an emulator Evonex can’t find.
6. 6Preview Exactly what Create will make: name, emulator and port.
7. 7Create Creates it. Nothing starts until you press Start.

What the card tells you

Your new instance appears on the Instances page as a card. The word under its name says whether it can start:

1. 1Ready Its emulator answers. Press Start.
2. 2Offline Nothing answers at its address. Open the emulator.
3. 3No emulator No emulator is linked or typed yet.
4. 4In use Another running instance is using the same emulator.
5. 5Needs setup Something it needs is missing; the line under it says what.
6. 6Error The last Start failed; the line under it says why.

Several accounts at once

Raise How many and Evonex ticks that many open emulators for you and numbers the names (Farm 01, Farm 02…). Instances covers adding and managing many.
