General presets

Name a lineup of generals once, then let tasks pick from it.

Resources ▸ Generals ▸ General Presets. A task’s settings open the same window from the layers button beside a preset list.

Use it to

Group your scanned generals into named lineups that tasks pick from when they send a march.

You need

Generals you have scanned. See Generals.

A general preset is a named lineup. It says which of your generals may lead a march (Main) and which may ride along (Assistant). A task keeps only the preset’s name, so a change you make here reaches every task that uses it.

1. 1New preset Adds a preset at the top of the list and lets you name it at once.

Make a preset

1. Open Resources ▸ Generals ▸ General Presets. From a task’s settings, click the layers button beside the preset list instead. It opens on the preset that list has chosen.
2. Click New preset. A preset called “Preset 2” appears on top, with its name selected. Type your own name.
3. On each general’s tile, click MAIN if it may lead a march. Click ASST if it may ride along. A general can be both. Search generals and the Tagged switch help you find them.
4. Click Done. Everything is saved already.

A general shows up only if Evonex can recognise it on the screen. If one you scanned is missing, a note under the list counts the ones left out. Scan them again, or set a region for them with Edit on the Generals page.

Pair assistants with a main

A main can bring chosen assistants. Click the round pip on a main’s tile. It shows +, or a number once the main has assistants.

1. Click the pip on a main’s tile.
2. Tick the assistants you want. Evonex tries them in the order you tick them.
3. Choose what happens If none of them can be found.
4. Click Save.

Tell Evonex how to find them in the game

Evonex finds a general by scrolling the game’s own general list. The IN-GAME SEARCH card says where to look. Folded, it shows two plain lines, one for Main and one for Assistant. Click Edit to open it. The two sides keep their own settings.

Rename, copy or delete

• Rename by typing in the name field. A name can’t be empty, and it can’t be another preset’s name (capitals don’t count). If it breaks a rule, the underline turns red, a line says why, and the list keeps the last good name.
• Every task, duty and setup profile that used the old name follows the new one. The line at the bottom says how many settings moved.
• Duplicate and Delete are icon buttons beside the name: a copy icon and a bin.
• Duplicate copies the preset as “… copy” and opens it with the name selected.
• Delete asks Keep or Delete. Tasks that pick from the preset lose it.
• Presets sync between your PCs.

How tasks use a preset

A task that sends a march can name a preset. These tasks do:

• Rally Joiner, when Bot picks generals is on.
• The march slots of Rally Setter, Solo Hunt, Royal Thief and Viking Challenge.
• The lanes of Resource Gathering, and the hunts of the Event Center.

Before each march, Evonex opens the game’s general list and takes the equipped general off the march. It finds an eligible main, then that main’s assistant.

• A slot left on The preset's own generals does not use a general preset.
• If the preset is gone, or has no main that Evonex can search for, the march sits out and says why. Rally Setter and Solo Hunt warn you in the readiness check first. Rally Joiner joins with the march preset’s own generals instead.
