Resources

Black Market

The goods Evonex may buy at the Black Market, with the currencies and the tile pictures for each.

Where
Resources ▸ Black Market.
Use it to
List the goods Evonex may buy, and say which currencies each one is sold for.
You need
Nothing. No emulator.
Used by
The Black Market task.

Each good records the currencies the market sells it for — Gold, Resources and Gems — and one picture for every purchase tile it can appear as. The task finds a tile on the market screen by that picture. The list comes filled in. Every instance shares this list, and a change is saved as soon as you confirm it.

Resources ▸ Black Market: one card for each good.
  1. 1Search items… Finds a good by part of its name.
  2. 2All Currencies Picks which currencies to show. A good shows if it sells for any ticked currency.
  3. 3Sort Orders the cards: by name, by when you added them, or by currency.
  4. 4Import Adds the goods from a pack file you got from someone else.
  5. 5Export Lets you tick goods and save them as a pack file.
  6. 6Add Item Opens the window where you add a good.
  7. 7Tile pictures Show the picture of each purchase tile of the good. Click one to see it larger.
  8. 8Currency badge Shows a currency the good is sold for. Point at it to read which one.
  9. 9Tile count Says how many tile pictures the good has.

Point at a card to see two buttons: Edit item (sliders) and Delete item (bin).

Find a good

Add a good

  1. Click Add Item.
  2. Type the Item name, for example Stamina.
  3. Under Buy with, switch on every currency the market sells it for. Pick at least one.
  4. Click Add tile and pick a picture of one purchase tile. Cut it out of a screenshot of the Black Market. PNG, JPG, WEBP and BMP files work. Add one picture for every variant, such as a 1×50 tile and a 10×50 tile.
  5. Click Add.
The item window, here for a good that has many tiles.
  1. 1Item name Names the good.
  2. 2Buy with Switches each currency on or off: Gold, Resources, Gems. Switch on every currency the market sells this good for.
  3. 3Add tile Adds a picture of one purchase tile.
  4. 4Tile Shows one tile’s picture. Point at it and click ✕ to remove it.
  5. 5Save Saves the good. In the Add window this button reads Add.
Take the screenshot on an emulator set up as in Emulator setup (540 × 960), so the tile looks the way Evonex sees it. Adding the same picture twice does nothing.
Item name
The good’s name. Required: with no name the window says Name required.
Buy with
Which currencies the good can be bought with: Gold, Resources, Gems. All are off for a new good. Switch on at least one, or the window says Currency required. The task lets you choose, for each good, only among the currencies on here.
Purchase tiles
One picture for every purchase variant in the game. The text under the title gives the example of Stamina, which has a 1×50 tile and a 10×50 tile. A good with no tiles is allowed, but Evonex cannot find it at the market.
Add tile
Opens a file picker. If it cannot read the picture, you see Image error.
Remove this tile
The ✕ that shows when you point at a tile.
Cancel
Closes the window without saving.
Add / Save
Saves the good.

Controls on this tab

Search items…
Finds goods by part of the name.
All Currencies
A list with tick boxes: Gold, Resources, Gems. Closed, it reads All Currencies, or the two names it holds. Default: all ticked.
Sort
Name (A–Z), Recently added or Currency. Default: Name (A–Z).
Import
Adds the goods from a pack file.
Export
Switches on select mode. A bar says Tick the items to include, then export them as a pack. Click Export selected to save the file, or Cancel to leave select mode.
Add Item
Opens the Add window.
Card
The strip of tile pictures (click one to open it larger), the name, one badge for each currency, and the tile count. A good with no tiles reads no tiles.
Edit item
The sliders button on a card.
Delete item
The bin button on a card. Asks Delete “Name”? If the bin is greyed out, the good is built in: you can edit it but not delete it.

With no goods saved, the tab says No black-market items yet and offers Add your first item. When a search finds nothing, it says No items match.

Share goods with a pack

A pack is a .zip file that holds goods with their currencies and tile pictures.

  1. Click Export and tick the goods you want.
  2. Click Export selected and choose where to save the file. The suggested name is blackmarket_pack.zip. A box says Export complete.
  3. On the other PC, click Import and pick the file. A box says Added X and updated Y item(s).

A good in the pack that has the same name as one you have is updated: its currencies and tiles are replaced. Any other good is added. Only packs made by Export on this tab work. Anything else shows Import failed.

How the Black Market task uses it

When Evonex updates, built-in goods go back to the currencies and tile pictures that come with it. Goods you added are never touched.

Problems?

A good I picked is never bought.
The market must sell it for a currency that is switched on under Buy with here and allowed in the task. Every tile it can appear as also needs a picture here.
Saving says Currency required.
Switch on Gold, Resources or Gems under Buy with.
The bin is greyed out.
The good is built in. You can edit it, but not delete it.
I renamed a good and the task forgot it.
The task keeps goods by name. Pick the good again in the task.
Import failed.
The file must be a .zip made by Export on this tab. Monster packs and other zip files are refused.
