Quick start

From a fresh emulator to your first finished run, as a checklist — about 15 minutes.

You need
One emulator with Evony installed and signed in, and this PC online.
You end with
One account that maps its city, does a few daily activities on its own and writes down every step.

Follow the steps in order — each one ends where the next begins. Every step links to a page with the details, if you want them.

The checklist

  1. Set up the emulator. Set it to 540 × 960 portrait at 120 dpi, switch on ADB, restart it, open Evony and sign in. → Set up your emulator
  2. Check text recognition. Open Settings and look at Text recognition: it should read English ready. → App settings
  3. Add an instance. Instances ▸ Add instances. Type a name, tick your emulator under Detected, press Create 1 instance. → Add your first instance
  4. Map the city. City Mapper ▸ Auto map, tick your emulator, press Scan. It takes about half a minute and taps nothing. → City Mapper
  5. Switch on a few duties. Open the instance ▸ Duties. Under Daily activities, switch on two or three easy ones, such as Alliance help, Gold levy and Patrol. → Choose what it does
  6. Start it. Go to Overview and press Start. Answer the rest-break question. → Start it and watch it work
  7. Watch the first runs. The Activity Monitor shows each step as it happens. When a few duties have finished, add plan tasks such as Rally Joiner.
Start small. Let a few runs finish and read what they did before you switch on anything that spends gems or items — those settings are always off until you turn them on.

If a step doesn’t work

The card says Offline, not Ready.
Nothing answered at the emulator’s address. Open the emulator, make sure ADB is on, and check the address. See Set up your emulator.
Start says the emulator must run at 540x960.
Set the emulator’s resolution to 540 × 960, portrait, restart the emulator and press Start again.
A window called Needs setup before starting opened.
It lists what is missing. Press Open setup to go straight to the first one. See Start it and watch it work.
