Plan tasks
Black Market
Shop the Black Market for you, with a different rule for each currency.
- What it does
- Shops the in-game Black Market. For each currency you choose what it may buy. It shops the shelf, refreshes the market and shops the new shelf.
- Where
- Plan task: Duties ▸ Tasks ▸ Add to plan ▸ Black Market, with its settings on Task setup ▸ Black Market. Daily activity: Duties ▸ Daily activities ▸ Black Market. The two keep separate settings.
- You need
- Your city map with the Market mapped (City Mapper). Goods in Black Market, each with the right Buy with currencies. Gold, resources or gems to spend.
- When it runs
- Plan task: it spreads the day's refreshes over the game day, as fast as you choose in Finish it. Daily activity: once a game day. Use one of them, not both.
Black Market buys the goods you pick, on its own, every game day. You decide, currency by currency, whether it buys nothing, only the goods you pick, or everything on the shelf. You can also mark goods to buy again when the game offers a rebuy.
Set it up
- Map the Market in City Mapper.
- Check Resources ▸ Black Market. Each good needs the right Buy with currencies there. A good that is missing, or whose picture does not look like the game's tile, is never bought. See Black Market.
- Open your instance, go to Task setup and click the Black Market card.
- Click the Gold, Resources and Gems tabs one by one. On each, choose Nothing, Picked goods or Everything.
- On a Picked goods tab, click the goods you want to light them up.
- Set Refresh, the number of refreshes for a game day. Click Save changes.
- Go to Duties ▸ Tasks and click Black Market under Add to plan. Then click its name to choose how fast it works through its refreshes.
- Press Start if the instance is not running yet. Nothing runs until it is.
- 1Refresh Sets how many times Evonex refreshes the market. Use the number box, or click 3, 5 or 10.
- 2Gold · Resources · Gems Opens one currency tab. Each tab decides what that currency may buy.
- 3Rebuy Opens the tab where you mark goods to buy again when the game offers a rebuy.
- 4Nothing | Picked goods | Everything Chooses what the open currency may buy: nothing, only lit goods, or everything.
- 5Find a good… Filters the goods by name.
- 6All | Picked Shows every good the tab can buy, or only the picked ones.
- 7Pick all 12 Lights every good in the group below it. Clear these takes the lights off.
- 1This duty's own copy Says these settings belong to the daily activity only. The plan task keeps its own.
- 2Spend gold on Shows Everything: this activity ships with gold and resources set that way.
- 3What the choice means Spells the choice out in words. It also warns that goods outside your library are bought.
- 4A good under Everything Looks softly lit with a line at its foot. Clicking it changes nothing.
- 5Reset task settings Puts the market settings back to the shipped ones. The Schedule tab is not touched.
- 6Reset records Forgets what the activity recorded about its turns, so it can run again.
- 7Done Saves both tabs and closes the window.
Settings
Refresh
How many times Evonex refreshes the Black Market for a new shelf once the current one is bought out. The game gives a few free refreshes a day and charges gems for each one after that. Evonex cannot see how many free ones are left, so refreshes you make by hand count too. It counts per game day: a second run on the same day does only what is left. Use − and +, drag the number sideways, or click it and type. The range is 0 to 9,999, and 0 reads never. Default: 3 for the plan task, 5 for the daily activity.
3 · 5 · 10
Quick picks. Click one to set the refresh count. The one that equals the count is lit.
Gold · Resources · Gems
Three tabs, one per currency. Each decides what that currency may buy. A lamp lights when the tab buys something. The line under the name says how many goods: Everything · 12, 2 picked, None picked or Off.
Rebuy
A fourth tab. Click a good to mark it. When the game offers a rebuy on a marked good, Evonex buys it again, a few times a day at most. Only goods that another tab already buys are shown. A marked good that no tab buys shows NOT BOUGHT in red.
Nothing | Picked goods | Everything
The switch under the tabs, for the tab you are on. Nothing: never spend that currency. Picked goods: only the goods you light up below. Everything: every good priced in that currency, even goods that are not in your library. Gems have no Everything. Default for the plan task: Nothing on all three. Default for the daily activity: Everything on Gold and Resources, Nothing on Gems.
Find a good…
Filters the goods by name.
All | Picked
Shows every good the tab can buy, or only the picked ones. It is not shown on an Everything tab or on Rebuy. A tab opens on All.
Pick all 12 / Clear these
Above each group of goods. Pick all lights every good shown in the group. Clear these takes the lights off. A search narrows what they act on. Not shown on an Everything tab or on Rebuy.
Goods (the tiles)
Click a good to pick it for the open tab. A lit tile with a check is picked. A softer lit tile with a line at its foot is bought because the tab is on Everything, and clicking it changes nothing. A dashed tile marked PAUSED is picked while its tab is on Nothing; click it to switch the tab to Picked goods. A small blue arrow means the good is also marked for rebuy. Gems never buy a good you did not pick on the Gems tab.
Save changes
Appears as soon as you change something. Click it to keep your changes.
All tasks
Goes back to the cards on Task setup.
Choose how fast it works
Click the plan task's name, or its settings button, on its row in Duties ▸ Tasks. The row's second line already tells you the pace, such as 10 a day · finish today, 3 at a time. The Solo button and the gray Standing down tag on the row are explained on Duties.
- 1Black Market Opens the timing window when you click the name.
- 2Settings button Opens the timing window too.
- 1Status line Says where the task stands, for example that it goes next.
- 2Finish it Chooses how fast the task works through its goal. Today is the default.
- 3At most … at a time Sets the most refreshes in one visit. It is hidden under All in one go.
- 4The pace in words Shows how Evonex will spread the work, worked out as you change the choices.
- 5Goal Shows the daily refresh goal. It comes from Refresh on the form.
- 6Reset progress Sets the goal's progress bar back to zero.
- 7Reset to default Clears the changes you made for this instance.
- 8Done Saves and closes the window.
Days · When it may run · Daily limit
The same three blocks as on Tavern Recruit. Defaults: every day, any time, no limit. A daily limit stops the task between refreshes, even under All in one go.
Finish it
How fast the task works through its goal. All in one go does everything in one visit, and the visit holds the screen until it is done. Today spreads the work over the rest of the game day. Within a week spreads it over a week. By a date you pick. Default: Today.
At most … at a time
The most refreshes in one visit. It is hidden under All in one go. Default: 3.
Goal
The day's refresh goal, taken from Refresh on the form. Edit in Task setup takes you there. The bar shows progress, such as 3/8.
Reset progress
Sets the progress bar back to zero.
Reset to default
Clears your changes and goes back to the task's own timing. It is grayed out when there is nothing to clear.
Done
Saves and closes the window.
The daily activity's own controls
Reset task settings
Puts the daily activity's market settings back to the shipped ones: gold and resources on Everything, gems on Nothing, Refresh 5. You confirm first, and the window closes. The Schedule tab is not affected.
Schedule tab
The tab has How often, Run before plan tasks, Come back every, Run cap, Retry when it fails and Reset schedule. They work the same on every daily activity. By default it runs Once a day, not before plan tasks, with 3 tries a day. See Daily activities.
Reset records
Forgets what this duty remembers about its own turns: whether it ran today, what it spent and any wait after a failure. It can then take another turn. Nothing in the game changes and your settings stay. The line beside the button says what is recorded, such as Had its turn today.
Done
Saves both tabs and closes the window. The ✕ in the corner, or Esc, closes it without saving.
How it runs
- Before it walks anywhere, Evonex checks your settings. If every tab is on Nothing, it ends with no purchase type selected.
- It walks to the Market on your city map, taps Black Market and opens the window.
- Each good on the shelf is sold for one currency. Evonex buys it only when that currency's tab picked it, or is on Everything. A good marked for rebuy is bought again when the game shows a rebuy. Sold-out goods, goods you did not pick and goods you cannot afford are skipped.
- If the game says you are short of a currency, Evonex cancels the buy. It then skips every good sold for that currency for the rest of the visit.
- Then it taps refresh, checks that the shelf really changed, and shops the new shelf. If the shelf did not change, it taps refresh again. It repeats until your Refresh number is used up.
- It stops early in two cases: you are out of gems for a paid refresh, or nothing is left to buy with.
- If the market window closes in the middle, Evonex opens it again, up to three tries, and carries on without buying a good twice.
- The run ends with a line such as Refreshed 4× — bought 7 item(s) on Overview.
Use the plan task or the daily activity, not both. They count refreshes separately, so having both on means two sets of refreshes.
Black Market spends. It pays for each good in the currencies you allow, and every refresh after the game's free ones costs gems. Everything buys every good priced in that currency, even goods you did not pick. The daily activity ships with gold and resources already on Everything, so check its settings before you switch it on.
Problems?
Overview says Black Market needs at least one of buy gold, buy resources, buy gems…
Every tab is on Nothing. Set one tab to Picked goods or Everything, then click Save changes.
It ran but bought nothing.
Evonex buys a good only when the currency it is sold for has a tab that picked it, or is on Everything. A dashed PAUSED good waits until its tab is switched back on.
A good I picked was on the shelf but was not bought.
Three things can cause this. The shelf sold it for another currency. Or its picture in Black Market does not look like the game's tile. Or that currency ran short earlier in the visit.
It spent gems I did not expect.
You picked a good on the Gems tab, or Refresh went past the day's free refreshes. Refreshes you make by hand count too.
The run says Couldn't open the Black Market via the Market.
Map and calibrate the Market in City Mapper. The instance also needs its city map.
It shopped twice today.
The plan task and the daily activity are both on. Switch one off.
