You need

Nothing to look or to switch generals on and off. An emulator, or a screenshot file, only to add a general that is missing.

The Tavern Recruit task.

This list is for generals you would like to recruit, not the ones you own. (The ones you own are in Generals.) Each general has a picture and a small recognition picture, so Evonex can find it on the tavern’s recruit board. The search list is the short list you pick: Tavern Recruit looks only for generals on it. A long list comes with Evonex, with the pictures already made. About half of them are on the search list at first. Every instance shares this list, and a change is saved as soon as you confirm it.

1. 1Search generals… Finds a general by part of its name.
2. 2Search list Shows only the generals on your search list. All shows everyone again.
3. 3Add General Opens the window where you add a general that is missing.
4. 4Count Shows how many generals there are and how many are on the search list.
5. 5Rank Shows Epic or Legendary. Point at it to see what each rank allows.
6. 6Recognition line Says template set when Evonex can find this general on screen, or no template when it cannot.
7. 7Add to search Puts the general on your search list. The button then reads On search list.
8. 8On search list Marks a general on your search list. Click it to take the general off.

Point at a card to see two buttons: Edit general (sliders) and Delete general (bin). Delete also removes the general’s picture.

Choose who the task looks for

1. Find a general. Type in Search generals… or scroll.
2. Click Add to search on its card. It changes to On search list.
3. Click On search list to take it off again.
4. Click Search list at the top to see only your chosen generals. Click All to see everyone.

The button saves at once, and the list keeps its place. Until at least one general is on the search list, Tavern Recruit says No generals on the search list yet.

Add a general that is missing

1. In the game, open Tavern ▸ Recruit ▸ Portraits and tap the general, so its full picture shows.
2. In Evonex, click Add General. In Port, pick your emulator and click Capture screen. With no emulator, click Upload image… and pick a screenshot file.
3. Drag a box around the general’s portrait. Scroll to zoom and right-drag to move the view. Then click Use selection.
4. Type the General name and pick the Rank. Leave Show in Tavern Recruit search on if you want the task to look for this general.
5. Click Select template in Vision Lab. Drag a box around the face and upper chest, then click Use for this general.
6. Click Save general.

1. 1Port Picks the emulator to capture from. It lists running emulators and your instances on this PC. You can type a port such as 5555.
2. 2Capture screen Takes a picture of the emulator’s screen.
3. 3Upload image… Uses a picture file instead of the emulator.
4. 4Picture Shows the captured screen. Drag a box around the general’s portrait.
5. 5Selection Shows the size and place of your box.
6. 6Use selection Crops to your box and moves on to the general’s details.

1. 1General name Names the general. Required.
2. 2Rank Picks Epic or Legendary. Default: Epic.

4. 4General art Shows the picture. The green box marks the part Evonex looks for.
5. 5Template Names the saved recognition for this general, or says there is none yet.
6. 6Select template in Vision Lab Opens the Vision Lab, where you mark the part to look for.
7. 7Edit detector Reopens the saved recognition in the Vision Lab so you can tune it.
8. 8Unlink Takes the saved recognition off this general.
9. 9Re-capture image Goes back to capture the picture again. The name, rank and link are kept.
10. 10Save general Keeps the general.

The Vision Lab works the same way as for champion skins. See Champions for a marked picture of it.

Controls on this tab

With nothing saved, the tab says No recruit targets yet. With an empty search list, it says Nothing on the search list yet and offers Show all generals. When a search finds nothing, it says No generals match.

How Tavern Recruit uses it

• Its list of targets offers only generals on the search list. With none, it says No generals on the search list yet — add them under Resources → Recruit Generals and turn on each one’s “Add to search” toggle.
• For each target you pick Recruit or Tokens and a buy limit. Tokens is for Epic generals only.
• The task sets the recruit board’s rarity boxes from your targets’ ranks. Keep each general’s Rank right.
• It finds a target on the board by its recognition picture. A general whose card says no template cannot be found.
• It remembers targets by name. After you rename a general here, pick it again in the task.
