Task setup holds one card for every task that has settings of its own. Click a card to open the task’s form. What a task does is set here. When it runs is a different question: you set that on Duties.

Open a task’s form

1. Click a card. The task’s form opens.
2. Change what you need. Every task has its own form; each task’s page describes it.
3. Press Save changes, at the top right of the form.
4. Press All tasks, at the top left, to go back to the list.

A form has a pinned top with a summary and the controls the task keeps in view, a scrolling body with the task’s own options, and a pinned foot with notes and reset buttons. Some forms show live numbers, such as march clocks or speed-ups used. They update every two seconds and never touch your unsaved edits.

Some buttons in a form open a slide-up panel. It keeps your edits when you close it with ✕, a click outside it or Esc. Other buttons open a pop-up page with its own Save and Cancel. Save there keeps the edits in the form; you still press Save changes to store them.

Save changes

• The button is hidden while the form equals what is saved. It appears with your first edit and hides again if you change the edit back.
• Click it: it reads Saving…, then disappears. Gone means saved.
• If saving fails, the button turns red and reads Couldn't save, with the message Couldn't save your settings — please try again. It stays until saving works.
• A running instance picks saved changes up at its next step.
• Saving checks the instance again at once, so a gap you filled leaves the Needs setup card on Overview.

Which tasks have a card

Nine tasks have a card. MAIN and SIDE are the task’s own role, not whether it is on.

Duties keep their settings in their own window on Duties instead. A task with nothing to fill in has no card.

Settings for a task that is not in your plan yet

You can fill in a card before you add the task. The first time you save, Evonex says: Saved. This task isn't in your plan yet, so it won't run — add it on Duties when you want it to. Your settings will be waiting for it. When you add the task on Duties, it picks those settings up. When you remove a task from the plan, its answers are kept the same way.

The order of the cards

Drag a card to a new place to change the order. The order is shared by every instance on this PC. A drop that would split one task’s cards is refused.

The profile chip

The chip at the top right shows whether this instance follows a saved profile: No profile, In sync or a count such as 4 changes. Saving any setting counts as a change against the profile. Click the chip to save, bind or switch profile. See Profiles. A newer version of a profile you follow can replace edits you have not saved.
