The basics
How Evonex plays
Instances, duties, plan tasks and the game day — how they fit together.
One account, one screen
Each instance is one game account in one emulator window. An emulator has one screen, so an instance does one thing at a time. Everything below is about deciding what comes next.
Two kinds of work
Who gets the screen
Every few seconds Evonex asks, in this order, and the first “yes” gets the screen:
- Is a duty in trouble? The bubble is about to run out, or the daily round must finish before the reset. It may stop a running task at its next safe point.
- Is a duty due? It takes its turn between plan tasks — a busy plan never starves the duties.
- What does the plan want next? The highest task that is due.
- Is there free time? When the plan is only waiting — marches out, nothing due — a duty that fits the wait runs in it.
- Nothing to do? It waits until the next thing is due.
Free time
- A duty fills free time only when at least 5 minutes are free before a march of yours comes home or the next task wants the screen, and the duty’s usual length fits too.
- Plan and duties take turns: after a duty fills a gap, the plan gets the screen back before the next one.
- Rally Setter and Solo Hunt hand the screen over while all their marches are out, and take it back the moment one comes home.
- Rally Joiner, which watches the rally list, keeps the screen for at least 5 minutes before an ordinary duty may take a turn, and hands it over at once when the rally list is empty.
The game day
The game resets at midnight US Pacific time (the time zone of Los Angeles). “Once a day” in Evonex means once per game day. A daily activity fills free time through the day; as the reset gets close, whatever is still owed takes its turn so the day gets finished.
When the game misbehaves
- If the game closes, freezes or shows an unexpected window, Evonex reopens the game and carries on.
- If you open the same account on your phone, Evonex steps aside and waits, then takes the account back when you’re done.
- A linked emulator that closes or stops answering is started again — at most twice an hour.
- With rest breaks on, it steps away for a while every few hours, like a person would.
Solo
On the Tasks card you can put one plan task in Solo: it runs once, alone, with every duty standing down — Protection included — and then the instance stops. Use it to try a task on its own.
Where to see all this
- Plan — the game day as it unfolds: what’s done, what’s next and why.
- Overview — the Activity Monitor, every step written down.
- Dashboard — every instance on this PC at once.
